Scope and source artifacts

Knowledge extraction

Primary objective: Test mechanism-level non-redundancy under primary-source comparison, blinding, recognition control, and independent review.
Primary claims: The protocol can discriminate non-redundancy, full subsumption, integration-only value, and underdetermination if its gates pass. Current experimental classification remains inconclusive.
Methodology: Two-stage preregistered mechanism-card construction and blinded mapping with role separation and adjudication.
Accepted hypotheses/findings: The protocol and current blocked state control experimental interpretation; source-curator completion is not Stage A completion.
Rejected or unsupported hypotheses: Same-provider synthesis or an incomplete machine pilot authorizes Stage B. A proposed narrower definition silently supersedes the experiment.
Assumptions: Operational cards and comparator sources can be made sufficiently symmetric and blind. Independent reviewers can apply lossless-subsumption criteria reliably.

Adversarial challenge

The successor boundary synthesis proposes a working classification while the controlling experiment remains inconclusive. Evidence that would materially change the assessment includes independent replication, preregistered negative controls, matched causal comparison, or a demonstrated failure of the current measurement instruments. The analysis deliberately treats planned validation as a dependency, not as completed evidence.
