Orientation

Framework Engineering is currently best described as a provisional research and method-engineering program for characterizing, comparing, redesigning, and testing procedural frameworks and adjacent knowledge artifacts while preserving evidence, uncertainty, and provenance. That description is supported by the repository's actual work and by its theory v0.1. Calling it a distinct engineering discipline is premature.
