Hypothesis
A finite set of primitive reasoning operations can reconstruct the reasoning flow of diverse knowledge artifacts without reference to their domain or terminology.
Why This Matters
If supported, this suggests that frameworks and related knowledge artifacts may share reusable reasoning structures.
If weakened, this suggests that primitive reasoning grammar may be domain-specific, incomplete, or too abstract to be useful.
Pre-Registered Success Criteria
- Independent extractors produce substantially similar primitive sets.
- Primitive vocabulary begins to stabilize rather than growing indefinitely.
- Multiple unrelated artifacts can be reconstructed from primitive sequences.
- The same primitives appear across multiple domains.
Pre-Registered Failure Conditions
- Every artifact requires new primitives.
- Extractors disagree substantially.
- Reconstruction fails across most artifacts.
- The grammar only works within one domain.
- Normalization requires excessive analyst judgment.
- Domain-specific operations dominate the vocabulary.
Exclusions
Clarity and EDF are excluded from the extraction phase to reduce contamination risk.
They may only be used later as holdout test cases after the primitive vocabulary is frozen.
