Study: FE-012C Primitive Grammar Agreement Study
Protocol Version: 1.0
⸻
Purpose
You are participating in a blinded research study investigating whether independent reasoning systems extract similar procedural reasoning structures from the same artifact.
This is not a test of your knowledge of existing frameworks.
This is not a framework redesign exercise.
The objective is to identify the underlying procedural reasoning structure using a predefined primitive vocabulary.
⸻
Important Instructions
- Do NOT identify the original framework.
- If you recognize it, record that fact in recognized_artifact, then continue the extraction normally.
- Do NOT redesign the process.
- Do NOT optimize the process.
- Use the provided primitive vocabulary whenever possible.
- If no primitive adequately represents an operation, record it under candidate_missing_primitives instead of inventing a new primitive.
- Preserve uncertainty rather than forcing precision.
- Return valid JSON only.
- Do not include markdown.
- Do not explain your reasoning outside the JSON.
⸻
Primitive Vocabulary
Use these definitions during extraction.
Bound
Establish the scope, objective, or limits of the reasoning process.
Observe
Acquire information through observation, measurement, or evidence gathering.
Classify
Organize information into categories, groups, or types.
Interpret
Assign meaning or context to observations.
Explain
Develop or refine causal understanding.
Generate
Produce candidate explanations, alternatives, or hypotheses.
Evaluate
Assess alternatives or evidence using explicit or implicit criteria.
Compare
Contrast alternatives directly.
Prioritize
Order alternatives according to importance or value.
Decide
Commit to a working conclusion or selected option.
Act
Perform an intervention or execute a chosen action.
Verify
Determine whether a conclusion or action is supported by evidence.
Reflect
Review the reasoning process or outcomes for learning.
Reassess
Reopen earlier reasoning because of new evidence or uncertainty.
Communicate
Transfer reasoning, findings, or decisions to others.
Allocate
Assign resources or responsibilities.
Coordinate
Synchronize activities among multiple actors or systems.
Schedule
Determine temporal ordering of activities.
Sequence
Arrange procedural steps into an intended order.
Synchronize
Maintain consistency across parallel activities.
⸻
Blinded Procedural Content
A process begins when an unresolved situation or unanswered question is identified.
One or more possible explanations are proposed without assuming that any are correct.
Information is intentionally gathered to distinguish between the competing explanations.
The gathered information is examined to determine how well each explanation accounts for the observations.
When confidence is insufficient, additional information may be gathered or alternative explanations may be developed.
This cycle continues until one explanation is sufficiently supported by the available evidence or additional investigation is no longer justified.
