Execution summary — FE-BOUNDARY-001

Status: complete; execution drafts submitted in a successor evaluation package and not canonically promoted.

Result

Framework Engineering is not supported as a distinct engineering discipline. The best current classification is a repository-centered research program and candidate integrated engineering profile for analytical frameworks as versioned knowledge artifacts.

No single adjacent field fully subsumes the exact object-and-integration boundary. Adjacent fields collectively cover every identified FE mechanism, and no clearly unique causal mechanism was found. Incremental utility remains untested.

This proposed synthesis does not override EX-FE-0002: its Stage A remains incomplete, Stage B remains blocked, and its experimental classification remains inconclusive. EX-FE-0003 also has no execution data.

Outputs

  • 30-source registry with access limitations.
  • 12-dimension, ten-comparator boundary matrix.
  • Competing definitions and explicit exclusions.
  • FEH-001 confidence update.
  • Research-to-engineering operating architecture.
  • ROS–FE Profile v1.0 audit and v1.1 priority backlog.
  • Four-arm matched incremental-utility experiment.
  • Machine-readable evidence model.
  • Source, observation, contradiction, hypothesis, synthesis, comparative, and experiment-proposal execution records.

Constraints preserved

  • No canonical theory or accepted profile mutation.
  • No Stage B authorization.
  • No efficacy, human-validation, or independent-replication claim.
  • Provider identity is provenance only.
  • Null and negative outcomes remain required in the next experiment.
