Research and Product Boundary

Research and Product Boundary

  1. Research findings may inform product design.
  2. Product usefulness does not validate research claims.
  3. Clarity and EDF are consumers of research findings, not proof of them.
  4. A research insight should only enter product architecture after repeated support or clear practical usefulness.
  5. Product experiments and research experiments should be recorded separately.
  6. Product decisions may be made pragmatically even when research confidence is low.
  7. Research conclusions must not be inflated because a product design feels useful.
