Purpose: Record the strongest non-FE explanations for current findings so theory claims remain challengeable.

1. Identity-Capability separation is an artifact of instrument structure

Description

The improved characterization may come from forcing analysts to answer clearer questions, not from a real structural distinction between identity and capability.

  • Structured instruments often increase consistency even when the underlying categories are weak.
  • FE-008 evidence is still pilot-scale.

Experiments capable of distinguishing between explanations

  • Compare identity-capability characterization against equally structured alternative instruments.
  • Test whether agreement remains higher when reviewers are blinded to Framework Engineering terminology.

2. Primitive stabilization results from prompt engineering

Description

The apparent stabilization in FE-012A may reflect how the extractor was prompted rather than a real bounded vocabulary.

  • Same-model extraction can create artificial convergence.
  • Early seed vocabulary may anchor later normalization choices.
