Emergent Design Heuristics (Provisional)
Status: Provisional research synthesis
These are not constitutional principles.
They are evidence-supported heuristics rather than accepted engineering laws.
Promotion to law requires independent replication.
They are evidence-grounded design tendencies emerging from FE-008, FE-011A, FE-012A, and FE-012B.
1. Bound Scope Before Reasoning
Reasoning improves when the analyst or framework first fixes the problem boundary, target system, or decision scope.
Current basis:

2. Separate Observation From Interpretation
Frameworks become easier to audit when raw observations are kept distinct from what those observations are taken to mean.

3. Preserve Uncertainty
Frameworks should not imply certainty that the evidence does not support.

4. Preserve Alternatives Until Evidence Narrows Them
Premature closure weakens diagnostic and evaluative reasoning.

5. Verify Before Closure
Reasoning artifacts are more robust when they include some explicit verification move before final commitment.

6. Add Reassessment Triggers In Dynamic Contexts
When the environment changes quickly, a framework should specify when prior judgments should be reopened.

7. Add Only Enough Structure To Solve The Identified Weakness
More structure can improve reasoning quality, but it also raises complexity and overhead.

Open Caution
These laws may not be universal.
They may hold more strongly for reasoning-heavy frameworks than for execution-heavy or highly representational artifacts.
